(THE NEWSMANOF INDIA.COM) Rishikesh, 11.07.2022: A 100-foot-high national flag post was inaugurated and the Tricolour was hoisted at THDC India Limited premises in Rishikesh under the ambit of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. As the nation is celebrating 75 glorious years of Independence, Rajeev Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited inaugurated the 30 ×20 feet tricolour on 100-foot flag post- in the presence of J. Behera, Director (Finance). During this event the students of TES High School, Rishikesh enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing rendition of patriotic songs. The programme was concluded with the singing of the national anthem. On this occasion, many senior employees of THDC were also present to witness the flag hoisting.

Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1587 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand, Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan & 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and 50 MW Solar Power Project at Kasaragod, Kerala to its credit.
