Addressing the inaugural of follow CII 13th Logistics Colloquium, Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya Union Minister of State for Shipping and Union Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilizers laid emphasis on Govt’s initiatives for developing the Eastern Waterways Transport Grid of about 5,000 km navigable waterways with an aim to reduce logistics cost.

Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya stressed on the need for cargo mapping with industrial clusters and creation of need based futuristic infrastructure which will pave way for deeper and longer network integration of greener waterborne transport.

Dr. Amita Prasad, IAS, Chairperson IWAI informed the industry about IWAI’s terminal management plans and deliberated on EoDB initiatives on digitization of #waterway services which will ensure seamless movement of cargo.
