16 State Administrative Service Officers from Madhya Pradesh Elevated to IAS

Bhopal, September 8, 2025: Sixteen officers of the Madhya Pradesh State Administrative Service (SAS) have been promoted to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The promotions, cleared by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), cover the 2023 and 2024 batches.
The promotions include officers who were previously denied advancement due to pending departmental inquiries but have now been cleared. Among them are Narayan Prasad Namdeo and Kailash Bundela. Notably, husband-wife duo Rakesh Kushare and Nanda Bhalave Kushare have been elevated together, marking a rare occurrence. Former Ujjain Municipal Commissioner Ashish Pathak has also been inducted into IAS.
The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) met last month, and following its recommendations, eight officers each from 2023 and 2024 have been awarded IAS status.
2023 Batch Promotions:
Narayan Prasad Namdeo, Dr. Kailash Bundela, Nanda Bhalave Kushare, Anil Kumar Damor, Savita Jhaniya, Sarika Bhuriya, Kamal Solanki Jitendra Singh Chauhan.
2024 Batch Promotions:
Santosh Kumar Tagore, Nisha Damar, Rakesh Kushare, Shaili Kanash, Rohan Saxena, Kavita Batla, Sapna Anurag Jain, Ashish Kumar Pathak
However, several senior SAS officers missed the opportunity due to either crossing the upper age limit of 56 years or being under departmental inquiry. Among them are Vivek Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Jayendra Kumar Vijayvat, Manoj Malviya, Kamal Chandra Nagar, Dwarka Prasad Burman, Kamlesh Puri, and Sarodhan Singh.
This promotion marks a significant career milestone for the 16 officers, enhancing the state’s representation in the All India Services.
