On the occasion of Republic Day 2025, a total of 31 officers and officials from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) were recognized for their exceptional dedication and service. The President of India conferred the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service to these distinguished individuals.

President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service was awarded to six distinguished officers, including: Datla Sreenivasa Varma, Joint Director, CBI Guwahati, Ghanshyam Upadhyay, Joint Director, CBI New Delhi, Tejpal Singh, Assistant Inspector General, CBI New Delhi, Naresh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBI New Delhi, Bhani Singh Rathore, Sub Inspector, CBI Jaipur, Aikodan Balakrishnan**, Assistant Sub Inspector, CBI Goa

Meanwhile, Police Medals for Meritorious Service were granted to 25 other CBI personnel, including senior officers like Rajiv Ranjan, Joint Director, CBI Ranchi, and Ms. Sudha Singh, DIG, CBI New Delhi, among others.

These awards celebrate the exceptional contributions of the CBI’s officers and officials in maintaining law and order, delivering justice, and upholding the integrity of India’s investigative processes. Their selfless commitment and outstanding performance serve as an inspiration to the entire nation, reinforcing the role of the CBI in safeguarding national security and the rule of law.
