(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) NHDC Limited celebrated the 75th Independence Day of country with great enthusiasm on 15th August, 2021 at Corporate Office, Bhopal. The function was organized as per Covid-19 appropriate behaviour guidelines issued by the State Government. The flag was hoisted by Harish Kumar, Managing Director of the Corporation in the presence all officials and staff saluting the Tricolour flag followed with the national anthem collectively. The Managing Director in his address to employees, applouded the freedom fighters and sacrifices for their sacrifice.

Speaking on this occasion, he shared the company achievements with the employees and appealed them to be prepared for the future challenges. The Managing Director appreciated all employees for showing their commitment as hydropower warriors leading to continuous hydropower generation under adverse circumstances thereby paving the way to atmanirbhar state. Harish Kumar emphasized on the need to work together, helping each other to strengthen the country. On the occasion of 75th independence Day, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India has launched a digital campaign “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” recently in which maximum officials and staff of the company had participated.

At present, two power stations of NHDC Limited, Indira Sagar Power Station (1000 MW) and Omkareshwar Power Station (520 MW) are operational in Khandwa district of the State. 100% of the power generated from here is supplied to Madhya Pradesh.
