NHPC enters into a JVA with APGENCO

In a landmark step toward Greener future, NHPC limited has entered into Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO) on 27.09.2024 for large-scale development of Energy Storage & Renewable Energy Projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The agreement was signed by R.K. Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC Limited and K.V.N Chakradhar Babu, Managing Director, APGENCO in the august presence of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Gottipati Ravi Kumar Energy Minister, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
The occasion was graced by the presence of K. Vijayanand, Energy Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh and R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), NHPC. On this occasion Rajat Gupta, Executive Director (SBD&C), NHPC and other senior officials from NHPC & APGENCO.
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu praised this initiative as a vital step toward securing the state’s energy future and contributing to national renewable energy goals, emphasizing the importance of combating climate change.
On the occasion, R.K.Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC reiterated NHPC’s commitment towards development of sustainable energy storage solutions in collaboration with APGENCO ensuring that Andhra Pradesh remains at the forefront of India’s renewable energy movement.
This Joint Collaboration of NHPC and APGENCO will pave the way for a cleaner, greener and sustainable future in the state.
