Ircon has achieved a remarkable milestone with the design, installation, and commissioning of the Rigid Overhead Catenary System (ROCS), designed for speeds up to 180 km/h and operational speed at 160 km/h. This state-of-the-art system has been successfully implemented in 6 kilometers of twin tunnels (total 12 track Km) of 13 kilometer long Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar segment of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). Notably, this installation represents the first of its kind in India. With the commissioning of OHE for this section, the trials for the Namo Bharat train have been successfully conducted.
