PESB Issues Guidelines to Ensure Proper Application Submission for CPSE Board-Level Posts
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has issued a directive to improve the application process for candidates seeking Board-level positions in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). The PESB has observed that several applicants have been submitting incomplete or improperly filled application forms, leading to rejections.A key issue identified is that applicants often fail to provide clear details regarding the posts they have held in the last 10 years, as well as the nature of their duties in each role. Some candidates have even erroneously indicated “No” in the required self-declaration regarding mandatory experience. Others consolidate their entire work experience in a single row, making it difficult to assess their eligibility.The PESB has stressed the importance of filling out the application forms accurately, with specific attention to the details of prior job positions and responsibilities. To prevent further rejections, the board urges all prospective candidates to ensure their applications are completed in accordance with the prescribed format. Additionally, the PESB has highlighted that many nodal officers from various Ministries, Departments, and CPSEs are yet to be registered on the PESB portal. The Board has requested that these officers be nominated and registered promptly to facilitate smoother application processes.
