(THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) proudly participated in the Argus Agri Vikas Conclave 2025, held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 15th May, 2025. Themed “Seeds of Change in Odisha,” the conclave brought together thought leaders, policymakers and industry experts to deliberate on the future of agriculture in India. A large gathering of farmers of Odisha including award winning farmers have also participated therein. Manish Billore, Vice President (Marketing), HURL, represented the organization in a key panel discussion titled “India@2047: Redefining Agriculture for Future Policy Push.” Addressing an audience of stakeholders from across the agri-value chain, Shri Billore shared HURL’s vision for a resilient and sustainable food system driven by ecological integrity and farmer-centric innovation. Highlighting the urgency of adopting sustainable and organic farming practices, he emphasized the critical role of Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) in improving soil health, increasing crop productivity, and mitigating climate impacts. “To feed the future, we must begin by healing the soil. Increasing SOC is fundamental to regenerating our agricultural ecosystems,” he stated. Billore also underscored Odisha’s unique potential as a testbed for ecological agriculture, citing its rich agro-ecological landscape, deep-rooted traditional farming knowledge, and progressive government policies that support sustainable agricultural transitions. Reaffirming HURL’s commitment to being a catalyst in this transformation, he added, “We see our role not just as producers of fertilizers, but as partners in creating a sustainable agricultural future for India. We are deeply committed to empowering farmers, preserving soil health, and building climate-resilient food systems.”
The conclave served as a timely platform to align stakeholders around India’s agricultural goals for 2047 and beyond, with HURL playing an active role in shaping this vision.
