THDC India Limited organized cleanliness awareness programs under Swachhta Pakhwada 2025

Rishikesh, 21-05-2025: Following the Government of India’s guidelines, THDC India Limited is conducting various cleanliness awareness activities from May 16 to May 31, 2025, across its corporate office, project sites, units, and offices. As part of this initiative, a one-day drawing, essay, and slogan competition was held on Wednesday at THDC High School, Rishikesh to raise public awareness about cleanliness. A menstrual hygiene awareness program was also organized.

The Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Limited, R. K. Vishnoi, stated that cleanliness is not just a campaign but a reflection of our mindset and lifestyle. He emphasized the importance of fostering cleanliness awareness among all sections of society, especially children and youth, to build a clean, healthy, and aware India. He praised the creative activities organized at the school as meaningful steps toward this goal.

Director (Personnel), Shailendra Singh, highlighted that the true impact of cleanliness is seen only when it becomes a practiced behavior. He noted that the menstrual hygiene awareness session increased health awareness and reinforced personal responsibility for cleanliness. Such programs ensure inclusivity and promote cleanliness as a permanent part of life. THDC remains committed to spreading this message across society.

A total of 60 students participated enthusiastically in the drawing competition for classes 9 and 10, essay competition for classes 7 and 8, and slogan competition for classes 5 and 6. The event began with senior manager Dr. Manoj Rangad motivating students to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. The students’ artworks, slogans, and essays reflected their awareness about cleanliness.

The menstrual hygiene program at THDC High School, Rishikesh, was attended by nearly 125 girls from classes 6 to 10. The event was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Mansi from THDC Niramay and senior manager Dr. Manoj Rangad. Dr. Mansi discussed menstrual issues, solutions, hygiene maintenance, and related myths in detail, explaining that personal hygiene is essential for physical health as well as self-respect and confidence.

Following the session, Dr. Mansi and THDC manager Anamika Budakoti distributed two packets of sanitary pads to each girl.

The event was attended by the school principal Geeta Kothiyal, manager Anamika Budakoti, deputy manager Mahak Sharma, assistant manager Pradeep Ghildiyal, and several officials and teachers from THDC and the school.
