In line with the rollout of India’s new criminal laws, the Police Headquarters in Bhopal today hosted an important presentation on the role of forensic science mobile vans, crime scene visits, and an upgraded evidence collection system. The event underscored Madhya Pradesh Police’s commitment to strengthening the scientific foundations of criminal investigations.
All Special Director Generals (SDGs) and Additional Director Generals (ADGs) attended the session alongside Director General of Police Kailash Makwana. The presentation offered a detailed look at modern forensic tools and their deployment through dedicated mobile vans capable of on-the-spot scientific analysis.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on improving crime scene management, standardising evidence collection protocols, and ensuring the integrity of forensic evidence in courts. The initiative is part of broader efforts to modernise and build institutional capacity for evidence-based policing, with the aim of ensuring swifter, more reliable, and fair justice delivery.
By investing in cutting-edge forensic infrastructure and training, the Madhya Pradesh Police seeks to align its investigation methods with global best practices, bridging gaps in crime detection and prosecution. Today’s event highlighted a clear resolve to equip law enforcement with the scientific tools and knowledge needed to meet the challenges of modern crime while upholding the principles of the new criminal justice framework.
