The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a one-year extension in tenure of Satish Kumar, Indian Railway Management Service, as Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board. The extension, effective from 1st September 2025, will be on re-employment contract basis under existing terms and conditions, or until further orders.
