MP Govt. Transfers 14 IAS Officers; Indore, Jabalpur Collectors Among Key Changes

By Abul Hasan (THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM) Bhopal, September 9: The Madhya Pradesh government has issued transfer orders for 14 IAS officers, reshuffling senior positions across divisions and districts. The move comes a day after 20 IPS officers were transferred.
Dr. Sudam Pandharinath Khade (2006), Public Relations Commissioner, has been appointed Commissioner, Indore Division. His charge in Public Relations has been assigned to Deepak Kumar Saxena (2010), who moves from Collector, Jabalpur, and additionally takes over as Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Madhyam.
Deepak Singh (2007) has been appointed Secretary, State Election Commission. Abhishek Singh (2009) has been posted as Secretary, Home Department.
Ashish Singh (2010), earlier Collector, Indore, has now been appointed Commissioner, Ujjain Division, along with additional charge as Mela Officer, Simhastha. Shivam Verma (2013), Commissioner, Indore Municipal Corporation, has been made Collector, Indore.
In another key change, Agar Malwa Collector has been shifted as Collector, Jabalpur, filling the vacancy created by Saxena’s transfer. Meanwhile, Katni and Barwani districts have also witnessed changes in collectors.
With this reshuffle, Indore’s top three administrative positions — Collector, Commissioner and Municipal Commissioner — have been changed in one stroke, underlining the government’s focus on re-energising governance in priority urban centres.
