NHPC’s ‘Rajbhasha Jyoti’ Wins First Rajbhasha Kirti Award 2024-25

NHPC Limited’s in-house magazine ‘Rajbhasha Jyoti’ has been awarded the First Rajbhasha Kirti Award (In-house Magazine) for the year 2024-25 in the category of Best In-house Magazine. The award was presented to Bhupendra Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC, by Union Minister of Home and Cooperation Amit Shah during Hindi Diwas 2025 and the Fifth All India Rajbhasha Conference held on September 14, 2025, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The event was graced by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Minister of State for Law and Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language Bhartruhari Mahtab, and Member of Parliament from Ahmedabad (West) Dineshbhai Makwana.

The recognition of ‘Rajbhasha Jyoti’ reflects NHPC’s continued commitment to promoting Hindi as a unifying language of administration and communication. Over the years, the magazine has served as a platform to showcase creative writing, cultural expression, and official achievements, strengthening the organisation’s Rajbhasha initiatives.

The award not only honors NHPC’s efforts in fostering linguistic pride but also reinforces its role as a leading power sector enterprise that balances progress with cultural and national values. By winning this prestigious recognition, NHPC once again demonstrates its dedication to both sustainable energy development and the promotion of India’s linguistic heritage.
