Centre Empanels Officers from 1993 to 2008 Batches Across IAS and Allied Services for JS/AS Posts

The Government of India has cleared a fresh round of empanelments of senior civil servants across multiple services for holding posts of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has also approved one empanelment at the Additional Secretary level.
Five officers from the 2008 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) have been empanelled in the first review for Joint Secretary-level positions. They are Brij Mohan Mishra (AGMUT cadre), Harsh Mangla (Jharkhand), Abhijit Sudhakar Bangar (Maharashtra), B. John Tlangtinkhuma (Manipur), and Rajesh Kumar (Uttar Pradesh).
From the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA\&AS), three officers of the 2005 batch—Saurabh Shukla, V. M. V. Nawal Kishore and V. Srinivasa Venkatanathan—have been empanelled at the Joint Secretary level.
At the senior level, Pawan Kumar Sharma, IAS (Madhya Pradesh, 1999 batch), has been empanelled for holding posts of Additional Secretary or equivalent at the Centre.
The empanelment list also covers officers from a wide range of other services. From the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), Rakesh Tyagi and Vinita Verma of the 2000 batch, Vishwanath Jagtap Goraksha of the 2001 batch, and Manish Chandra of the 1999 batch have been empanelled for Joint Secretary posts. Manoj Kumar Gangey of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS, 2000 batch) and Sandeep Kumar of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE, 1997 batch) also feature in this round.
Among finance and accounts cadres, Zaigham Ali Khan (IRAS, 1999 batch), Neeti Sarkar (IRAS, 1995 batch), Amrita Darpan Jain and Anand Kumar (both IRAS, 2001 batch), and Deepa Chawla (IRAS, 1998 batch) have been empanelled. From the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), M. G. Jayasree of the 1998 batch has been cleared.
Three officers of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME, 1998 batch)—Binay Kumar Jha, Rajnish Kumar, and Vinod Kumar—have been empanelled, along with three officers of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS, 2002 batch)—N. R. Visalatchy, Shipra Sharma, and Vivek Kumar Daksh.
From the revenue services, Vinod Tanwani (IRS-IT, 1998 batch), Ruchita Vij (IRS-C\&IT, 2004 batch), Pashupati Nath Pandey (IRS-C\&IT, 1994 batch), and Prabhjeet Singh Gulati (IRS-C\&IT, 2002 batch) have been empanelled at Joint Secretary level.
Among other services, Sonal V. Misra (IPS, Tamil Nadu, 2000 batch), Anurag Agarwal (IPS, Assam-Meghalaya, 1998 batch), and Sukhgeet Kaur (IOFS, 2000 batch) are included. From the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS, 1998 batch), Amiya Kumar Das and Anil Ranga have been empanelled.
In addition, Ashok Maurya (IRSSE, 1993 batch) has been empanelled at the Joint Secretary level.
The empanelment exercise marks a key step in strengthening the pool of officers available for senior positions in the Government of India. The approvals span across IAS, IPS, Audit, Railway, Accounts, Revenue, Statistical, Postal, Ordnance and other technical services, reflecting the government’s effort to draw talent from a wide spectrum of administrative backgrounds.
