By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM Bhopal, October 8, 2025: Madhya Pradesh witnessed a landmark administrative initiative with the first-ever Collectors and SPs Conference 2025, focusing on strengthening law and order across the state. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, and DGP Kailash Makwana IPS led the historic event, emphasizing public safety, governance, and service.

Addressing the eighth and final session, Dr. Yadav underlined that maintaining law and order is the primary responsibility of district collectors, who also serve as District Magistrates. He urged collectors and police superintendents to develop robust local intelligence networks, respond immediately to incidents, and maintain close coordination to prevent escalation. Sensitive areas with narrow roads or difficult access should be identified, and zonal plans prepared in collaboration with local bodies within three months.

The Chief Minister set an ambitious goal to make Madhya Pradesh completely Naxal-free by March 2026, directing focused efforts in Balaghat, Mandla, and Dindori districts. Highlighting Balaghat’s success in reducing Naxal activities, he appreciated the district administration’s initiative to employ over 200 youth in local companies, preventing their diversion into unlawful activities. He also noted that eight encounters this year have neutralized ten Naxals.

Dr. Yadav stressed that law and order is crucial for the smooth progress of development work. Collectors and SPs were instructed to regularly review pending criminal cases, ensure accountability among officers, and maintain coordination with field staff. He emphasized that administrative efficiency shapes public perception of governance and improves citizens’ quality of life.

DGP Kailash Makwana presented an overview of law and order priorities, while four working groups addressed topics including new criminal laws, crime management, road safety, and crowd control. Chief Secretary Anurag Jain encouraged GIS-based mapping of sensitive spots to preempt adverse situations, and DGP Makwana highlighted technical reforms, including eHRMS implementation and cyber security initiatives like SCFL Labs and the Singhsth Cyber Warrior program. The police’s readiness, transparency, and responsiveness were affirmed across all areas of public safety.

The conference, hailed as a unique collaboration between governance and administration, reflected Madhya Pradesh’s proactive approach toward law enforcement, public trust, and overall state development.
