Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) concluded its two-day “National PR Conclave–2025” today at the Gangotri Convention Centre, Ranchi. The event, themed “Redefining PR: From Information to Engagement in the Era of Digitalization”, brought together PR professionals, media experts, academicians, and students to discuss the evolving dynamics of communication in the digital age.

The second day began with a session by Inu Majumdar, CEO of Radio Orange, Nagpur, on the role of radio in connecting rural India. She emphasized its continued importance in awareness generation and behavioral change. This was followed by Dr. Sameer Kapoor, Director, Ad Factors, Delhi, who highlighted how digital media, influencers, and content creators are transforming organizational reputation in the age of PR 2.0.

A key highlight of the conclave was the release of a Special Cover dedicated to the “Coal Warriors” of Coal India and CCL, marking the Golden Jubilee year of the coal industry. The cover, along with the souvenir “Navchetna”, was released jointly by the CMD and Directors of CCL and Jharkhand Postal Services. It symbolizes the dedication and contribution of employees who form the backbone of India’s energy infrastructure.

Speakers including the CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh stressed that PR is the backbone of organizations, enabling meaningful engagement with the public through safety initiatives, CSR, and community programs. Career opportunities in PR were discussed by Dr. Vikas Pathe of IIM Ranchi, who urged students to embrace adaptability and continuous learning. Advertising veteran Prahlad Kakkar inspired students with insights on creativity and media in the valedictory interactive session.

The conclave reinforced that public relations today extends beyond information sharing, serving as a platform for engagement, trust-building, and creating lasting societal connections.
