BY THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has launched SAKSHAM 2.0, an expanded CSR skill development initiative aimed at empowering unemployed and underprivileged youth from Gorakhpur, Sindri, Dhanbad, Barauni and Begusarai. The MoU for the programme was signed at HURL’s Corporate Office, building on the notable success of SAKSHAM 1.0.

The ceremony was led by HURL Managing Director Siba Prasad Mohanty in the presence of senior officials from HURL and CIPET, whose collaborative partnership forms the foundation of this impactful endeavour.

SAKSHAM 2.0 will train 418 young beneficiaries in industry-relevant sectors such as plastics processing, injection moulding, recycling and tool-room operations. The four-month residential programme offers structured technical training, accommodation, certification, industrial exposure and a monthly stipend, ensuring a holistic and supportive learning environment.

With a strong emphasis on employability, the initiative provides maximum placement assistance through CIPET’s expansive industry network. This effort aims to create pathways to meaningful careers and foster long-term socio-economic upliftment across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

Through SAKSHAM 2.0, HURL and CIPET reaffirm their commitment to building skilled manpower, strengthening communities and helping India’s youth progress toward a confident and self-reliant future.
