Nivedita Shukla Verma Given Additional Charge as Health Secretary
The Competent Authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare to Nivedita Shukla Verma, IAS (UP:1991). She will hold the charge with immediate effect till 21 December 2025 during the leave period of Punya Salila Srivastava, IAS (AGMUT:1993).
Shalini Agnihotri Re-designated as Director in School Education & Literacy
The Competent Authority has approved re-designation of the post of Deputy Secretary, presently held by Shalini Agnihotri, IPS (HP:2012), as Director in the Department of School Education & Literacy. The re-designation, personal to her, will take effect from 1 January 2026 for a tenure up to 23 July 2030.
Padmakar Kushwaha Elevated as Director in Atomic Energy
The post of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy, held by Padmakar Kushwaha, IA&AS (2012), has been re-designated as Director. The approval, personal to him, will be effective from 1 January 2026 or assumption of charge, whichever is later, for a tenure up to 19 August 2029.
Garima Sharma Re-designated as Director in Higher Education
The Competent Authority has approved re-designation of the post of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, held by Garima Sharma, IRS (IT:2012), as Director. The re-designation will take effect from 1 January 2026 or date of charge assumption, for a tenure up to 1 September 2029.
Richa Verma Appointed Director in Higher Education
Richa Verma, IAS (HP:2012), has been approved for re-designation as Director in the Department of Higher Education. The decision, personal to her, will be effective from 1 January 2026 or the date of assuming charge, whichever is later, for a tenure up to 24 November 2030 under Central Staffing norms.
Kapil Patidar’s Central Deputation Extended by Two Years
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension of central deputation tenure of Kapil Patidar, IES (2011), Director, Department of Economic Affairs. His tenure has been extended by two years beyond 27 December 2025, up to 27 December 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
