Amit Agrawal Given Additional Charge of DoT Secretary
In modification of an earlier order dated 11 December 2025, the competent authority approved the assignment of additional charge of Secretary, Department of Telecommunications to Amit Agrawal, IAS (CG:1993). He will hold the charge from 16 December to 21 December 2025 during the leave of Neeraj Mittal, IAS (TN:1992).
Harish Singh Papola Appointed OSD to Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Harish Singh Papola, IRPFS (2015), as Officer on Special Duty to the Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia. He will serve in MIO Communications at Deputy Secretary level up to 10 August 2028, subject to conditions.
Priya Ranjan Gets Extended Additional Charge as NHB Managing Director
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved extension of additional charge of Managing Director, National Horticulture Board to Priya Ranjan, FOS (RJ:1998), Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. The extension is for nine months from 23 September 2025 to 22 June 2026 or until a regular incumbent is appointed.
Vibha Chahal’s Tenure as Private Secretary Curtailed
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the curtailment of tenure of Vibha Chahal, IAS (UP:2012), as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Labour & Employment in MIO MSME. Her services have been placed on compulsory wait in the Department of Personnel & Training until further posting under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Nivedita Swain Appointed Private Secretary to MoS MSME & Labour
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved curtailment of Nivedita Swain, IRAS (2010), tenure as IFA (Director level) in SSB and her appointment as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for MSME and Labour & Employment in MIO MSME. She will serve at Director level up to 27 August 2030 or co-terminus with the Minister.
Vinay Kumar Repatriated to Bihar Cadre with Extended Cooling-Off
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the repatriation of Vinay Kumar, IAS (BH:1999), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, to his parent Bihar cadre. The repatriation has been cleared at the request of the Government of Bihar, with the imposition of an extended ‘cooling-off’ period as per applicable rules.
Kapil Patidar’s Central Deputation Extended Till December 2027
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved extension of central deputation tenure of Kapil Patidar, IES (2011), Director, Department of Economic Affairs. His tenure has been extended by two years beyond 27 December 2025, up to 27 December 2027, or until further orders. He has been on central deputation since 28 December 2020.
