Indian Police Officers Nominated for Key UN Police Positions in UNISFA Mission

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Government of India has approved the nomination of four police officers for key United Nations police assignments in the UNISFA mission at Abyei, forwarding their names to UN Headquarters for selection.
Merin Joseph Nominated for UN Police Chief of Operations Post
Merin Joseph, IPS (Kerala cadre, 2013), presently serving as AIG, has been nominated for the post of Police Chief of Operations (UN Police Planning Officer), P-4 level, in UNISFA (Abyei). The nomination has been approved by the competent authority and forwarded for UN selection.
Shiliuwabang T Nominated for UN Police Role
Shiliuwabang T, Superintendent of Police with the Nagaland Police Service, has been nominated for the post of Police Chief of Operations (UN Police Planning Officer), P-4, in UNISFA (Abyei). The nomination, cleared by the competent authority, has been sent to UN Headquarters for further selection.
Ramdas M Nominated as UN Gender-Based Violence Police Adviser
Ramdas M, Deputy Commandant (Executive) in CISF, has been nominated for the post of Gender-Based Violence Police Adviser (UN Police Analyst), P-3 level, in UNISFA (Abyei). The nomination has been forwarded to the UN Police Division following approval by the competent authority.
Renu Kumari Nominated for UN Police Analyst Position
Renu Kumari, HPPS, serving as ASP in State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Himachal Pradesh, has been nominated for the post of Gender-Based Violence Police Adviser (UN Police Analyst), P-3, in UNISFA (Abyei). The nomination has been sent to UNHQ for the selection process.
