Bangalore, December 24, 2025: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Astra Microwave Products Limited (AMPL) to collaborate on the design, development and manufacturing of advanced electronic modules, subsystems and systems for defence electronics and aerospace applications.

The partnership will focus on critical technology domains such as Electronic Warfare, radar systems and satellite-based solutions, with the objective of strengthening indigenous design and production capabilities in advanced defence technologies. The collaboration is aligned with national priorities aimed at enhancing self-reliance in strategic electronics and reducing dependence on imports.

Under the MoU, BEL and AMPL will leverage their respective strengths in research, engineering and manufacturing to jointly pursue opportunities in defence and aerospace programmes in India and abroad.

The MoU was exchanged between Suresh Kumar KV, Director (Marketing), BEL, and MV Reddy, Joint Managing Director, AMPL, in the presence of Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, BEL, B M Chandrakanth, Vice President, AMPL, and Niti Pandit, General Manager (Strategic Planning), BEL.
