By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Centre has approved the premature repatriation of Shamsher Singh, IPS (Gujarat:1991), Additional Director General, BSF, to his parent cadre with immediate effect. He is widely expected to be appointed as full-time Director General of Police, Gujarat. Meanwhile, the Gujarat government has given additional charge of DGP and IGP to Dr K Laxmi Narayan Rao, IPS (1992), presently heading CID Crime and Railways, along with Prisons and Correctional Administration.
