ACC Clears Extensions, Deputation Continuance and Repatriation of Senior Officers

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet and the Central Government have approved extensions of upgraded posts, continuation of inter-cadre deputation, and premature repatriation of senior officers across key ministries, reflecting ongoing administrative restructuring and кадров management at the central level.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension of the upgraded post of CBSE Chairperson from Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary, held by Rahul Singh, IAS (BH:96), till March 25, 2027.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended the upgraded post of Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary in DIPAM, Ministry of Finance, held by Alok Pandey, IPoS (94 batch), till November 24, 2026.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension of the upgraded DS/Director post to Additional Secretary in the Department of Science and Technology, held by Sunil Kumar, IFoS (PB:95), till January 8, 2027.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended the upgraded Joint Secretary post to Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, held by Hanif Qureshi, IPS (HY:96), till January 7, 2027.
The Central Government has approved the extension of inter-cadre deputation of Akshay Labroo, IAS (2018 batch), from Tripura to AGMUT cadre in Jammu and Kashmir for one year beyond February 17, 2026, relaxing existing policy norms.
The Competent Authority has approved premature repatriation of Devesh Gupta, IRS (C&CE:2008), Director in the Department of Commerce, to his parent cadre to enable him to avail promotion benefits.
