Biranchi Das, Director (Human Resources), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), paid a courtesy visit to Ram Gopal Garg, IPS, the newly appointed Inspector General of Police, Bilaspur Range, on January 30, 2026.

During the interaction, Das congratulated the IG on his appointment and discussed matters related to SECL’s operational areas spread across the Bilaspur Range. He briefed the IG on key issues concerning coal mining operations, workforce management, safety, and security arrangements essential for smooth functioning of mining activities.

The meeting also focused on the importance of close coordination between SECL and the police administration to maintain law and order in mining regions and to ensure uninterrupted coal production. Das highlighted SECL’s role in supporting national energy requirements and its initiatives in employee welfare and community development in and around its project areas.

The visit reaffirmed the commitment of both institutions to work collaboratively for regional development, operational efficiency, and public welfare through sustained cooperation and mutual understanding.
