By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of 151 officers of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) for promotion to the grade of Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT) in Level 14 of the Pay Matrix for the panel year 2026. The empanelment will take effect from the date of assumption of charge and until further orders.

The ACC has, however, approved the non-empanelment of Ajay Kumar, N. Murmu, Sanjib Kumar Pal, Abhimanyu Singh Yadav, Ravindra and S. S. Priya M. for the same panel year.

Further, the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee in respect of Sanjay Tripathi, Dinesh Singh, Sallong Yaden, Anupam Kumar Suman, Santosh Kr. Kamani, D. K. Chaudhary and Anubhav Singh have been kept in sealed cover. Their cases will be considered subject to the promotion of two junior-most officers on an ad hoc basis, finalisation of sealed cover proceedings, or arising of regular vacancies in the grade, whichever is earlier.
