By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a series of extensions and appointments involving senior IAS and IRAS officers under the Central Staffing Scheme, including tenure extensions, additional charge arrangements and a lateral shift to the 8th Central Pay Commission.

The ACC has approved extension of central deputation of Navjot Khosa, IAS (KL:2012), Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Punjab & Chandigarh, beyond March 31, 2026 till December 31, 2027 or until further orders. She has been on central deputation since December 19, 2022.

Krishna V R, IRAS (2009), Director, Department of Revenue, has been appointed Director, 8th CPC, Department of Expenditure, on lateral shift basis under the Central Staffing Scheme. His tenure will be co-terminus with the 8th CPC, extendable up to September 17, 2029 or until further orders.

The ACC has extended entrustment of additional charge of Secretary-cum-Controller of Examination (JS level), National Recruitment Agency, to P. Bala Kiran, IAS (KL:2008), Joint Secretary, DoPT, for one year beyond January 21, 2026 or till appointment of a regular incumbent.

Approval has also been granted for extension of additional charge of Secretary (JS level), Spices Board, to P. Hemalatha, IAS (KN:2000), Development Commissioner, Cochin SEZ, for six months from January 24, 2026 to July 23, 2026 or until a regular appointment is made.
