Yogesh Gupta (IPS) Empanelled for DG-Level Posts at Centre

By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanelment of Yogesh Gupta, IPS (Kerala cadre, 1993 batch), for holding Director General equivalent posts at the Centre.

With over three decades of service, Gupta is regarded as a seasoned and result-oriented officer known for his professionalism, integrity and administrative competence. He has held key assignments across field policing, intelligence and vigilance, contributing significantly to strengthening law enforcement systems in Kerala.

Throughout his career, he has been associated with initiatives aimed at improving policing efficiency, crime control and public service delivery. His leadership style combines operational firmness with a balanced public-oriented approach.

Empanelment to DG-level positions is a recognition of an officer’s experience, performance and suitability for top leadership roles in central police and security organisations. Gupta’s elevation places him among senior officers eligible for critical national assignments in India’s internal security framework.
