THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| In a notable recognition of administrative excellence and reform-driven governance, Dr Anup Yadava, Secretary, Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, has brought laurels to the department by securing the first rank among all state departments under the prestigious 150 Day Sevakarmi Programme.
The honour was conferred by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, marking a moment of pride not only for the department but also for the broader administrative framework of the state. The programme, conceived as a comprehensive performance assessment initiative, aims to strengthen transparency, efficiency, and accountability in governance.
At the core of this achievement lies the rigorous evaluation under the Sevakarmi component, which examined eight critical parameters of organizational and human resource management. These included the robustness of departmental structures, clarity in service entry rules, timely promotions, status of direct recruitment, maintenance of confidential records, compassionate appointment mechanisms, capacity building through the iGOT platform, and efficient disposal of departmental inquiries.
Complementing this was the Sevakarmi Tech component, which assessed the department’s strides in digital governance. The Women and Child Development Department demonstrated exemplary performance in areas such as digitization of confidential reports through Digital Mahapar, streamlined promotion tracking, completion of iGOT training modules, and effective utilization of the E-HRMS platform.
Securing the top position in such a comprehensive and competitive evaluation underscores the department’s commitment to modern governance practices. It reflects a seamless blend of administrative discipline and technological integration—key pillars in delivering responsive and citizen-centric services.
This achievement is not merely an individual accolade but a collective triumph. The consistent efforts, dedication, and professionalism of the entire Women and Child Development team have played a decisive role in strengthening governance outcomes. Their work continues to enhance service delivery mechanisms, ensuring that welfare initiatives reach the most vulnerable sections of society with greater efficiency and transparency.
Under the stewardship of Dr. Anup Yadava, the department has set a benchmark for governance excellence in Maharashtra—demonstrating how focused leadership, institutional integrity, and digital innovation can transform public administration into a more accountable and people-oriented system.
