By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM | A notable leadership transition has reportedly taken place in the Tamil Nadu Police with Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal reportedly appointed as the new Director General of Police and Head of Police Force. A 1994-batch IPS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Aggarwal brings with him vast policing and security experience gathered over decades of distinguished service. Before returning to the state, he was serving in the Border Security Force as Special Director General (Human Rights) and was also entrusted with additional responsibility of the BSF Eastern Command in Kolkata. He reportedly takes over from Sandeep Rai Rathore, marking a new chapter in Tamil Nadu’s policing and internal security administration.
