Commissioner Sankeet Bhondve, Urban Administration and Development Department, described the recognition as a significant milestone in Madhya Pradesh’s journey toward digital excellence. According to him, the e-Nagar Palika platform was conceived with a dual objective: making civic services faster, simpler, and more transparent while simultaneously ensuring the highest standards of cybersecurity and data protection.

What distinguishes e-Nagar Palika from many conventional digital governance platforms is its strong emphasis on security by design. As governments worldwide grapple with growing cyber threats, Madhya Pradesh has embedded advanced cybersecurity mechanisms at the core of the platform. Built on a modern cloud infrastructure, the system incorporates Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), robust data encryption, secure access controls, continuous cyber monitoring, and strict compliance with security and regulatory standards.

The approach reflects a broader understanding that digital governance today is not merely about providing online services; it is about safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of citizen data. More than 20 administrative modules and 24 citizen services have been brought under a single integrated framework, significantly improving operational efficiency while reducing service delivery timelines.
