By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| New Delhi, June 30: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has further extended the timelines for recording Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (PARs) for the year 2025-26 in respect of All India Services (AIS) officers, including the IAS, IPS and Indian Forest Service (IFoS).

In an order issued on June 30, 2026, DoPT said the decision has been taken with the approval of the Competent Authority to provide sufficient time to the Reporting, Reviewing and Accepting Authorities for completing the appraisal process. The relaxation has been granted under Rule 5(1) read with Schedule 2 of the AIS (PAR) Rules, 2007, and is a one-time measure.

As per the revised schedule, the last date for submission of self-appraisal by officers has been extended to **July 31, 2026**, while the Reporting Authority will now complete the appraisal by **September 15, 2026**. The Reviewing Authority has been given time until **November 15, 2026**, and the Accepting Authority will complete the process by **December 31, 2026**.

The revised timelines supersede the earlier extension issued through DoPT’s letter dated April 29, 2026. However, the Department has clarified that no remarks in the PAR for the year 2025-26 shall be recorded after December 31, 2026, in accordance with the provisions of the AIS (PAR) Rules, 2007, as amended.

The order has been circulated to all Chief Secretaries of States and Union Territories, all Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and other concerned authorities for necessary action.
