The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved two significant personnel decisions, granting Apex Scale to a senior Intelligence Bureau officer and approving a contractual appointment in NITI Aayog to strengthen administrative support.

Rithwik Rudra Granted Apex Scale in Intelligence Bureau

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Home Affairs’ proposal to grant the Apex Pay Scale (Level-17 in the Pay Matrix) to Rithwik Rudra, IPS (HP:1993), Special Director, Intelligence Bureau, with immediate effect. The elevation to the Apex Scale recognises his senior leadership role in the country’s premier intelligence agency.

P. Shankar Appointed Private Secretary to NITI Aayog Member

The ACC has also approved the appointment of P. Shankar, a retired Senior Principal Private Secretary (CSSS cadre), on a contractual basis as Private Secretary to Dr. M. Srinivas, Member, NITI Aayog. The appointment has been made in relaxation of the existing guidelines at the level of Under Secretary for a period of one year from the date of assumption of charge, or on a co-terminus basis with the Member, NITI Aayog, or until he ceases to function as the Member’s Private Secretary, whichever is earlier.
