By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA|Bhopal, July 29: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to creating a modern, resilient and world-class infrastructure network with the release of the coffee table book, “MP RDC: Connecting People Through Quality Infrastructure”, at Mantralaya in Bhopal.

The publication highlights the remarkable transformation of Madhya Pradesh’s road infrastructure and documents the state’s sustained efforts to build an efficient, safe and future-ready transportation network that strengthens connectivity, fuels economic growth and enhances the quality of life for its citizens. The coffee table book serves as a visual and documentary record of the achievements of the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) and the Public Works Department (PWD), reflecting the state’s vision of inclusive and sustainable development.

The launch ceremony was attended by Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi, IAS, along with senior government officials and representatives associated with the infrastructure sector. Their presence underscored the importance the state government attaches to infrastructure as a key driver of economic progress and regional development.

Prepared jointly by the Public Works Department and the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation in collaboration with The ET and other stakeholders, the publication showcases landmark road projects, engineering innovations, sustainable construction practices and policy initiatives that have positioned Madhya Pradesh among the leading states in infrastructure development.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasised that robust infrastructure forms the backbone of a developed economy. He noted that quality roads not only reduce travel time and improve logistics but also facilitate investment, strengthen rural-urban connectivity and create new opportunities for trade, tourism and employment. The coffee table book, he observed, reflects the government’s vision of delivering infrastructure that directly benefits every citizen.

The publication also illustrates the state’s focus on adopting advanced engineering practices, ensuring road safety, promoting environmental sustainability and enhancing maintenance standards. Through detailed narratives and visual documentation, it presents Madhya Pradesh’s infrastructure journey as one driven by innovation, efficiency and long-term planning.

During the programme, a brief overview of the recent decisions taken by the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet was also shared. These decisions are aimed at strengthening governance, accelerating infrastructure development, encouraging innovation and expanding public welfare initiatives across the state. The government’s policy direction reflects a comprehensive approach to balanced development while ensuring that infrastructure growth remains aligned with economic and social priorities.

The release of “MP RDC: Connecting People Through Quality Infrastructure” marks another milestone in Madhya Pradesh’s development journey.
