By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM| New Delhi, August 7: Senior politician and former Union Minister of State Suresh Pachouri met Rajya Sabha Member Tarun Chugh at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi and held detailed discussions on a range of contemporary issues concerning public welfare and national development.
During the cordial meeting, Pachouri also raised a long-pending demand aimed at improving rail connectivity for the people of Madhya Pradesh. Through a formal representation submitted to Tarun Chugh, he requested him to take up the matter with the Union Minister for Railways for providing a scheduled halt to Train No. 22222, the Mumbai–CSMT Rajdhani Express, at Rani Kamlapati (RKMP) Railway Station in Bhopal.
Pachouri emphasized that Rani Kamlapati Railway Station has emerged as one of India’s most modern railway stations and serves as a major transportation hub for the state capital. A halt for the prestigious Rajdhani Express at RKMP would greatly benefit thousands of passengers, including business travellers, government officials, students, and tourists, while enhancing connectivity between Madhya Pradesh and the country’s financial capital.
The proposal is expected to receive widespread support from residents and frequent rail passengers, who have long advocated for improved stoppages at RKMP. If approved by the Ministry of Railways, the move would further strengthen rail infrastructure and passenger convenience in the region.
The meeting reflected a constructive approach towards addressing public concerns through dialogue and coordination, with Pachouri expressing hope that the request would receive favourable consideration from the Railway Ministry in the larger public interest.
