Gujarat is intensifying its global investment outreach with a high-level government delegation visiting the United States to strengthen business partnerships, attract fresh investments and create new opportunities for collaboration between Gujarat and the US. The initiative reflects Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel’s focused approach towards expanding Gujarat’s economic footprint and positioning the state as a preferred destination for global investors.

The delegation includes Chief Secretary M K Das, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjiv Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, Mamta Verma, and Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Vikrant Pandey. Their engagements in the US are aimed at showcasing Gujarat’s investment potential while exploring strategic partnerships across emerging and high-growth sectors.

On the third day of the official visit, the delegation visited the Google campus and held wide-ranging discussions with Vice President Chandu Thota and senior executives. The discussions focused on opportunities for deeper collaboration between Google and Gujarat, particularly in areas linked to artificial intelligence, digital transformation and innovation.

Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a digitally empowered and AI-driven India, the delegation explored AI training programmes for youth, educators and students to develop future-ready skills. Discussions also covered the application of AI in agriculture, including crop-pattern optimisation, soil-health monitoring and climate resilience.

The delegation further discussed Google Workspace sovereign AI solutions aimed at strengthening advanced data security.

The US outreach underlines Gujarat’s proactive investment strategy and its commitment to building long-term global partnerships that can generate employment, innovation and sustainable economic growth.
