New Delhi: India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has commenced its participation in the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, reinforcing its commitment to cleanliness, public participation and the broader vision of a clean and developed India.
At the ITDC headquarters in New Delhi, the Managing Director Mugdha Sinha,IAS led the Swachhata Pledge in the presence of the Director (Finance), Lokesh Kumar Aggarwal, Director (C&M) Rajesh Rana and employees of the organisation. The ceremony brought together officials and staff in reaffirming their commitment towards maintaining cleanliness and promoting responsible practices in their workplaces and communities.
The campaign is being observed by ITDC under this year’s theme, “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag: Swachhata Bharat, Viksit Bharat”, which places citizen participation and collective responsibility at the centre of the cleanliness movement.
Employees from ITDC’s hotel units and offices across the country also joined the pledge ceremony online, reflecting the organisation’s coordinated approach to the campaign. The participation across different locations highlighted the importance of a unified institutional effort in advancing cleanliness and sanitation objectives.
The 2026 campaign is being undertaken through a “Whole of Government” and “Whole of Society” approach, encouraging government organisations, employees, institutions and citizens to contribute actively to cleanliness initiatives.
For ITDC, the campaign also carries significance in the context of tourism and hospitality, where clean, hygienic and well-maintained public and tourist spaces play an important role in creating a positive experience for visitors.
Through the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, ITDC aims to strengthen awareness among its employees and stakeholders while encouraging sustained participation in cleanliness and environmental initiatives. The initiative underlines the organisation’s commitment to contributing to the national cleanliness movement and supporting the larger objective of a clean, green and developed India.
