By THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM|RECPDCL Hands Over Ranipur Chunar Power Transmission Limited, a SPV of Intra State Transmission Project of Uttar Pradesh, to M/s H G Infra Engineering Limited
REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, handed over Ranipur Chunar Power Transmission Limited, the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to the successful bidder, M/s H G Infra Engineering Limited, on 26th September 2026.

M/s H G Infra Engineering Limited emerged as the successful bidder through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator, for development of intra-state transmission project “Construction of 220/132/33 kV AIS Substation, Ranipur (Mau) and 220/132/33kV AIS Substation, Chunar (Mirzapur)” in Uttar Pradesh on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The SPV was handed over by Rajesh Raj, Sr. GM & HoD, RECPDCL to Ujjval Verma, CGM (Finance), H G Infra Engineering Limited, in the presence of other senior officials from RECPDCL, H G Infra Engineering Limited and Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited.

The transmission project broadly envisages establishment of 220/132/33 kV AIS Substation at Ranipur (Mau) & 220/132/33kV AIS Substation at Chunar (Mirzapur), 220 kV D/c line form Rasra to Ranipur along with other associated works. The project implementation schedule is 18 months.
