Krishna and Venugopal N., as Special Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Both officers, currently serving as Additional Directors, will assume the new responsibilities following the temporary upgradation of their respective posts.

A.Y.V. Krishna Appointed Special Director in CBI

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of A.Y.V. Krishna, IPS (AM:1995), as Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Currently serving as Additional Director, Krishna will hold the post from the date of assumption of charge until his superannuation on May 31, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment involves a temporary, officer-specific upgradation of his post from Level 15 to Level 16.

Venugopal N. Appointed Special Director in CBI

Venugopal N., IPS (HP:1995), currently serving as Additional Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has been appointed Special Director following approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. His appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge and continue until his superannuation on December 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment entails a temporary, officer-specific upgradation of the post from Level 15 to Level 16.
