ACC approved VS Wadekar appointment as CMD, MRVCL

This decision comes after consideration and recommendations made by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
Wadekar, who currently holds the position of Director (Technical) at MRVC, will assume his new role as CMD from February 1, 2025. His tenure is set to last until his superannuation on July 31, 2028, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
This appointment reflects the Ministry of Railways’ continued efforts to identify and promote experienced professionals within its ranks to leadership positions. Under Wadekar’s leadership, MRVC is expected to continue its pivotal role in developing and improving the suburban rail network in Mumbai, which serves as a lifeline for millions of commuters.
