The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of temporary upgradation for several senior positions across key ministries.

The post of Director General, National Archives of India, under the Ministry of Culture, currently held by Arun Singhal, IAS (UP:87), has been extended at the Secretary level up to April 30, 2025. Similarly, Archana Agrawal, IAS (UP:90), will continue to serve as Member Secretary of the National Capital Region Planning Board in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs at the Secretary level till May 1, 2026.

Pramod Kumar Tiwari, IAS (AM:91), will continue as Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution at the Secretary level up to October 31, 2025.

In the Prime Minister’s Office, the post currently held by Arvind Shrivastava, IAS (KN:94), has been extended at the level of Additional Secretary till March 24, 2026.

These extensions are part of a broader administrative decision to retain experienced officers in strategically important roles.
