ACC Clears Major Bureaucratic Appointments Across Key Ministries

In a significant round of high-level bureaucratic reshuffles, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of crucial appointments across diverse ministries and departments, reflecting the government’s focus on strengthening administrative leadership in critical sectors.

Key Appointments:

Sanjay Rastogi (IAS: OR:1991), Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, has been appointed as Director General, National Archives of India, Ministry of Culture, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.

Anil Kumar Singhal (IAS: AP:1993) takes charge as Chief Executive Officer, National Rainfed Area Authority, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily downgrading the post and modifying an earlier order.

Sudeep Jain (IAS: TN:1994), Additional Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, has been appointed as Member Secretary, National Commission for Women, Ministry of Women & Child Development.

Dheeraj Sahu (IAS: UP:1996), Managing Director, Small Farmers Agri-Business Consortium, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, moves as Additional Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education.

A. Anbarasu (IAS: AGMUT:1996), currently in cadre, has been appointed Additional Secretary & Director General (Acquisition), Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence.

Lav Aggarwal (IAS: AP:1996), currently in cadre, joins as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development, succeeding Gyanesh Bharti who has been appointed Deputy Election Commissioner.

Sunil Kumar Barnwal (IAS: JH:1997), Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, has been named Chief Executive Officer, National Health Authority, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily downgrading the post.

Manish Bhardwaj (IAS: GJ:1997), Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Ministry of Electronics & IT, becomes Secretary, National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Akash Tripathi (IAS: MP:1998), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, has been appointed Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, with temporary upgradation of the post.

Gyanesh Bharti (IAS: AGMUT:1998), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development, takes charge as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India.

Hirdesh Kumar (IAS: AGMUT:1999), Managing Director, TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, assumes responsibility as CEO, NATGRID, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Diwakar Nath Misra (IAS: AM:2000), in cadre, has been appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

Akhil Kumar (IPS: UP:1994), in cadre, has been selected as Managing Director & CEO, Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics & IT.

Sandeep Sarkar (IDAS:1995), in cadre, has been appointed Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Agricultural Research & Education.

Anu P. Mathai (IES:1995), in cadre, joins as Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, by temporary upgradation of a Joint Secretary post.

In-situ Upgradations:

Shantanu (IAS: TR:1997), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, has been elevated as Additional Secretary in the same Ministry.

Pawan Kumar Sharma (IAS: MP:1999), Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, has been upgraded to **Additional Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence**, by restoring the post to Additional Secretary level.
