Puneet Chawla, (IRSSE) 1985 batch, and the former chairman and managing director of RCIL, writes an emotional note addressing the fraternity, he thanks and pays his gratitude to the colleagues for their elongate support.

In May 2022, Puneet Chawla (IRSSE) relinquished the charge of Chairman & Managing Director of a “Mini Ratna (Category-I)” PSU is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a Pan-India optical fiber network. Chawla during his entire service tenure was recognised for his invaluable contribution and pioneering work towards creating a world-class organisation in the industry. He is known as a visionary and has brought sea-change in the functioning of the organisations and project managements and its delivery.

The content of Chawal’s note: As I take leave of you after more than 36 years of service with Indian Railways, I consider it an honour to place on record the feeling of gratitude and regard for you. Indian Railways is an institution that exemplifies the spirit of teamwork, leadership challenges and commitment to public service. I could not have attained the level of professional achievement and satisfaction without the help and support that I have received from you during my present brief but eventful tenure as Principal Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer, North Western Railway/Jaipur and during other previous assignments such as Chairman and Managing Director/RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., Executive Director/ Safety/Railway Board, Divisional Railway Manager, NWR/Ajmer, Chief Project Manager/ Indian Railway Project Management Unit, General Manager/ Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Sr. Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer/ Co-ord/Delhi Division, Dy.Chief Signal & Telecom Engineer/Delhi Area. My gratitude to Almighty for you a part of my journey.
