Former CRPF and ITBP Director General Anish Dayal Singh has been appointed as Deputy National Security Advisor (NSA), a move reflecting the government’s focus on strengthening internal security mechanisms.

Singh, a distinguished IPS officer, brings decades of experience in paramilitary leadership and counter-insurgency operations. Having helmed the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), he has been at the forefront of managing internal security challenges, ranging from Left Wing Extremism to border security.
