According to the Commission, a total of 958 candidates have successfully qualified and have been recommended for appointment to various central civil services. These include elite services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), along with several other Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ services under the Government of India.

The Civil Services Examination, conducted annually by the UPSC, is widely regarded as one of the most challenging competitive examinations in the country. The selection process unfolds in three demanding stages — Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and the Personality Test (Interview). Only those candidates who successfully navigate all three phases earn a place in the final merit list.

The Commission further stated that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional, subject to verification of eligibility and documentation requirements as per the rules governing the examination.

For the 2025 examination cycle, the Central Government had reported a total of 1,087 vacancies to be filled through the Civil Services Examination across various services and cadres.

The announcement of the results marks the culmination of months of intense preparation, perseverance and dedication by aspirants from across the country. For the successful candidates, the result opens the doors to a distinguished career in public administration and governance, where they will play a pivotal role in shaping policies and delivering services that impact millions of citizens.
