Prof. Gobardhan Das, Member, NITI Aayog, met the Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog, and chaired a review meeting with Madhya Pradesh Rajya NITI Aayog and senior State officials to review the progress of key development initiatives and discuss opportunities to accelerate the State’s growth through cooperative federalism.

The discussions highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s development priorities, including innovation and entrepreneurship through Startup MP, and the need for greater convergence among national institutions in the State. Prof. Das encouraged the State to leverage its untapped potential by prioritising key sectors such as education, agriculture, mining, and health, supported by robust monitoring, clear action plans, and outcome-oriented roadmaps.

The meeting also focused on creating an enabling ecosystem to attract talent, investment, tourism, and industry, while strengthening food processing, exports, and institutional infrastructure. Emphasis was laid on undertaking a comprehensive gap analysis to ensure balanced and inclusive development, with a long-term vision of establishing Madhya Pradesh as a hub for education, innovation, and healthcare, while ensuring equitable development, particularly for tribal communities.
