The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Tamboli Ayyaj Fakirbhai, IAS (CG:2009), currently serving as Director in the Cabinet Secretariat, as Joint Secretary in the same department. His tenure will extend up to March 20, 2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

In another decision, the Committee has approved the extension of tenure for Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH. His contract has been extended for one year beyond June 28, 2025—now up to June 28, 2026—on existing terms and conditions.
