Bhopal Traffic police was awarded by union ministry of urban development for”Best initiative for road safety” on its traffic education and awareness efforts. 
The award was given by Minister of State for urban development at the culmination of urban mobility annual conference in New Delhi today. The award was recieved by Bhopal IG Yogesh Choudhary who is an IPS officer of MP cadre 1996 batch. It is widely beleived that Bhopal IG Yogesh Choudhary has been instrumental in making consistant efforts in upgradation of modern policing in his Bhopal Division, Choudhary has been in past SP, SSP also so he knows the pulse of Bhopal.
