BPCL Confers with prestigious awards at Energy Tech. Meet 2024

Bharat Petroleum, India’s ‘best performing’ Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking has won two prestigious awards at the Energy Technology Meet 2024 in Bengaluru organized by the Centre for High Technology, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG), Government of India.
BPCL has conferred with- The ‘Eco-Refinery Award’ for Kochi Refinery’s achievement of the highest reduction in specific carbon emissions. The CHT Innovation Award for indigenously developing Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) technology, a first in India, encompassing proprietary formulations, which will be scaled to 20,000 metric tons per annum, creating a robust domestic supply that moves us closer to meeting India’s rising demand of hygiene products.
Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, presented the prestigious awards to G. Krishnakumar, Chairman and Managing Director, BPCL, Sanjay Khanna, Director (Refineries) and N. Chandrashekhar, Executive Director and Head of Research and Development (R&D).
Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, inaugurated the pavilion at the event, joined by BPCL’s senior leadership, where he reviewed the groundbreaking developments presented by BPCL’s Research and Development Team.
