CBI ARRESTS A DEPOT MANAGER AND AN ASSISTANT OF FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA IN A BRIBERY CASE OF RS. 50,000/-

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Depot Manager and an Assistant, both working in the Food Corporation of India, Niwari (Madhya Pradesh) in a bribery case of Rs. 50,000/-.

CBI had registered a case U/s 7 of the PC Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018) against the Depot Manager of Food Corporation of India, Niwari (Madhya Pradesh) on a complaint. It was alleged in the complaint that the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs. 53,000/- from the complainant for delivery of wheat from the Food Corporation of India, Depot, Niwari against Release Orders issued by FCI Area Office, Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) in favour of the complainant’s firm. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the complainant.

Both the arrested accused are being produced today before the Competent Court at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh).
